What Should Be In It For Women?

44 Mother's Day Craft Ideas for Kids - Personal Creations Blog
There's no shortage of articles and books about women. They tell us what women want, what they buy, what their favorite services are, etc. Obviously, the answers are different for every woman - there is no one, magical service that every woman wants, or one amazing product that every woman buys. What can be said of today's women, however, is that the majority are juggling a ton of responsibility and trying to fit a very long list of "to-dos" into a very small amount of time. In short, today's women are stressed out.

You've read the articles. Remember Marissa Mayer, the CEO of Yahoo? Fortune magazine ranked her America's 14th most powerful business woman of the year 2012. She was also pregnant when she took the position, and only took a two-week maternity leave before returning to work. Some women applauded; some women criticized. Whether you're a Mayer admirer or critic, we can all agree that the "juggling it all" space she found herself in is all too familiar to modern women.

So what can be done? In the smartphone generation, if you have a job, you're at work even when you're at home. Always plugged in; always monitoring emails or calls. And if you're a mother, this means parenting takes on a whole new level of complexity. Especially since your kids are plugged in, too. How to maintain closeness as a family, be a good parent, bring home the bacon, and cook it too? Is there any room left to sit back and live? What kind of things could alleviate some of this stress?

After examining blogs, articles, and books, we've compiled a list of women's priorities in easing their daily life. Yes, it is subjective. Each person is in a different situation and each wants different things. But probably few would argue if offered this list on a silver platter:

Anything that makes daily life easier.
An improved work - life balance.
A variety of attractive jobs from which you can freely select.
Flexible work hours. (Especially important for moms!)
More family time.
Ability to contribute to family budget while working from home.
Help with home improvements.
A creative and fun atmosphere both at home and at work.
The ability to easily find and give unique gifts that strengthen relationships.
A significant sense of achievement and satisfaction with life.
While the list above is ambitious, it shows that women obviously need a practical tool that offers the right combination of interesting and promising jobs, services and goods. Whether you offer a service (as a part-time job seeker) or look for a service (to get reliable help,) we think women would benefit from such tool. The tool should be inexpensive and easy to use. It should also help with self-assessment and professional growth. And some unique gift ideas to strengthen relationships with loved ones should be there, too.
