Wedding and Bridal Party Games

Every party needs to have some form of entertainment to ease the guests boredom, and often games is a great way to gather people around and have fun. In a spontaneous and informal party like a Bridal Shower or Bachelorette party, there are numerous games that can be played to entertain the attendees, of course apart from a hunky man coming out of the huge cake!

In the past, a bridal shower is one that conforms to formality, but nowadays silly ideas and stimulating games have been added to make the party more lively and memorable for the bride. Here's a few games that would be great for wedding parties or bridal showers.

Here's a great game to share secrets and memories. First ask your friends/guests to write on a piece of paper or small card their shared secret or memory with the bride, but don't write their name on it. During the shower, allocate a particular time when the bride will read aloud these secret or messages and have her guess who wrote the secret or memory. This game could be entertaining and may give a chance to help everyone in the party to get to know each other better.

The Newlywed Game, prepare a list of questions (could be funny, intimate or entertaining) that the groom is supposed to answer and remember since he is not supposed to be present at the bridal party. Small gifts must also be purchased and wrapped, as well as several pieces of gums. During the party, ask the bride the same questions and tell her to give her answers based on how she thinks the groom might have answered. If her answer matches the recorded answer of the groom, she gets to have a small gift but if her answer is not a match, then she has to chew a piece of gum and choose among the attendees who will receive the gift. Imagine how funny it would be if the bride keeps guessing incorrectly and have her mouth full with chewing gum, while the guests gets all the small gifts.

The Purse Power game is similar to a kids party's Bring Me game where the participant is asked to bring and give a particular object. While in this Purse Power game, the objects required are not as wholesome as that in a bring me game. Required objects may include items that are found in a woman's purse such as lip gloss, keys, credit cards, random items or even unexpected things like condoms, dental floss or maybe a sanitary napkin.

While the "Pin the hotdog on the man" game. This is the adult version of the classic kids game "Pin the tail on the Donkey". A naked man's picture without his genitals needs to be taped on the wall. the guests are provided with cutouts of a drawing or picture resembling man's private part or a hotdog, in case there are conservatives in the party. A woman is blindfolded as she tries to pin on the naked man's picture on the wall on the spot where the genital should be. The female participant who pins the cutout nearest the exact area wins.
